Why a mission matters

Through all these changes, there has been one constant that has acted as the north star guiding our efforts – our mission statement: “Crusoe is on a mission to align the future of computing with the future of the climate.”

In many ways, 2023 was about writing new chapters of the Crusoe story. We launched new offerings for our customers, welcomed new members to our team, and expanded our footprint in the United States and internationally. We appeared alongside industry leaders, highlighted exciting new partnerships, and earned national media attention for our efforts. We also, refreshed our Crusoe website and external messaging.

Through all these changes, there has been one constant that has acted as the north star guiding our efforts – our mission statement:

Crusoe is on a mission to align the future of computing with the future of the climate.

At the most basic level, a company’s mission statement explains what a company does and what purpose it serves. In a few short words, it encapsulates a company’s goals, defines its values, and justifies its existence.

Crusoe’s mission-driven work is one of our key differentiators. Yes, we offer an innovative product at a competitive price for our Cloud customers optimized for high-performance computing and artificial intelligence. We bring value to wasted resources for our oil and gas partners through our Digital Flare Mitigation (DFM) technology. We’re enabling alternative revenue streams for underutilized renewable and clean energy sources through our Digital Renewable Optimization (DRO) approach.

But what really sets us apart is our environmental impact. By powering our infrastructure with otherwise wasted, stranded, or clean energy sources, we are enabling computing-led innovations to benefit humanity with lower environmental impacts than traditional data centers.

In 2023, our first-ever ESG report documented our success to-date in advancing our mission. In the years to come, our commitment to our mission will continue to focus our efforts through the changes and challenges ahead. As we look ahead to 2024, our scale and impact will only increase. We are excited about Crusoe’s expansion into renewable energy, international projects and ultimately furthering our goals to align not just Crusoe’s computing with the future of the climate, but in fact, reimagining an industry where climate-aligned digital infrastructure is the foundation.

If you are:

  • Talent looking for mission-driven work on cutting-edge technology;
