Frequently asked questions

Life as a Crusoe intern is full of hands-on learning and growth opportunities as you are exposed to all sides of the business. Talent development sessions and fireside chats with leaders. Goal-setting with your manager and progress-tracking as you go. Focus on a specific project that will culminate in a presentation to your team. Volunteer events in the community. Fun with your cohort of interns. And a mentor to guide your experience and offer advice along the way.
For software engineering roles, the typical process is:
Take-home technical assessment
Final round that includes a conversation with the hiring manager, a project review, and one hour of coding exercise
For all other roles, the typical process includes:
Introductory meeting with a recruiter
Conversation with the hiring manager
Final round of 2-3 interviews
We want to find and develop great talent, and make sure that there is a match between your career goals and what we offer at Crusoe. Win-win.
In our experience of hiring and developing interns, we have found the following simple approach will help you bring out your best in interviews:
Understand our value proposition - What problems are we solving for our customers? How are we different from our competitors? What’s the recent buzz about Crusoe in the news?
Practice your pitch - connect your past (school projects, recent work) to your future (this internship) and describe how you are on a continuum of career growth.
Bring your curiosity - we don’t expect you to already know everything! Be ready to ask a few good questions so you can see if there is a fit for you and a Crusoe internship.
Be authentic - We want to get to know the real, not a rehearsed script.
Our goal is to grow our talent from within. While offers depend on final budget approvals and team requirements, we view every intern as a potential full-time hire. If you excel during your time with us, we certainly aim to discuss long-term opportunities.
